Papular & Keloid Specialized Treatment

A specialized treatment program for intractable scars with characteristics different from common scars. 'Papular scars', which are bumpy scars raised after acne on the nose or chin, are precisely ablated with a laser to make them smooth. 'Ear keloids' are difficult to treat due to frequent recurrence; 'Ultra Excision' precisely removes the keloid with a laser and combines it with treatments to suppress recurrence. For hypertrophic scars, a combination therapy is performed, using an 'Ultra CO2 laser' to ablate the scar and a 'scar injection (TA)' to flatten the raised tissue.

For those bothered by scars that are indented or have turned white

For those bothered by scars that are indented or have turned white

Scars that become indented or turn white over time due to pigment cell damage are stressful as they are hard to cover with makeup. We fill the depth of the scar and restore its natural color with various lasers and regenerative injections.

For those who want to improve raised or reddish-black scars

For those who want to improve raised or reddish-black scars

Hypertrophic scars that are raised above the skin or scars with a reddish-black color are not only cosmetically unappealing but can also grow larger with irritation. Early treatment can flatten the scar and improve its color to match the normal skin tone.

For those concerned about scars that indent when smiling or making facial expressions

For those concerned about scars that indent when smiling or making facial expressions

Do you experience your scar indenting because the scar tissue pulls the skin from within when you make facial expressions? This is due to adhesion underneath the skin. Subcision treatment can release this tethered tissue, improving the natural movement of your skin.

For those concerned about indented scars

For those concerned about indented scars

Are you worried about your skin being indented after acne, chickenpox, trauma, or surgery? Atrophic scars, caused by a lack of collagen in the dermal layer, are difficult to heal naturally. Professional procedures can fill in the indented areas to restore a smooth skin texture.

For those concerned about scars that have turned white

For those concerned about scars that have turned white

Are you bothered by a healed wound that looks whiter than the surrounding skin? This is a white scar caused by melanin-producing cells failing to function properly after skin damage. Treatment can soften the scar's borders and improve the color difference.

For those with raised, flesh-like scars

For those with raised, flesh-like scars

Has a scar from surgery, vaccination, or acne become raised and bumpy as it healed? This is a hypertrophic scar caused by excessive collagen production after skin injury. Early treatment is important as it can grow larger if left untreated.

For those concerned about scars from plastic surgery

For those concerned about scars from plastic surgery

Are you stressed about incision scars left from double eyelid, epicanthoplasty, or nose surgery? If suture lines are noticeable or scars persist due to your constitution, laser treatment can make them lighter and more natural-looking.

For those concerned about raised scars after an injury

For those concerned about raised scars after an injury

Has your skin become abnormally raised as a wound from surgery, trauma, or acne healed? If you are stressed and concerned about the appearance of a hard, shiny scar, it can be improved with professional treatment.

FAQ

FAQ

Common questions patients ask about this treatment.

Effects increase with repetition

While some people may feel a slight improvement after just one session, the effects are more noticeable after multiple, repeated treatments.

Satisfying improvement over a cure

A complete cure is difficult, but with enough sessions, you can expect significant improvement to the point where others notice and you feel satisfied with the treatment. The number of sessions varies per person, so you can continue until you are satisfied. Generally, severe scars require at least 10 sessions, while less severe ones need at least 5 to see effects.

Subcision improves adhesion

This is caused by internal adhesion. It can be improved to some extent with subcision, a procedure that releases the scar tissue.

Botox combo for better results

While it may not disappear completely, it can be improved. Since the scar has formed along a frown line, combining scar treatment with Botox is more effective and helps prevent the line from deepening. Filler injections may also be used if necessary.

The improved state is maintained

No, the improved condition will be maintained. In fact, your skin may continue to regenerate and improve for up to a year after the treatment ends.

Strenuous exercise after 1 week

Light exercise is possible immediately after the treatment. However, we recommend refraining from strenuous exercise for about a week.

Avoid alcohol for 1 week

Although it's not a surgery, we recommend refraining from alcohol for one week for the best results.

Shower gently on the same day

You can shower from the day of the treatment. However, do not rub the treated area harshly and use lukewarm water for a brief shower. Long showers should be avoided as they can cause scabs to fall off prematurely.

Safe intervals, no problem

No, you don't need to worry. We perform treatments at intervals of at least one month to allow for sufficient recovery. If any issues are anticipated, our doctor will identify them and inform you in advance.

At least one month apart is OK

No, the rule is to have a minimum of one month between sessions, not that exactly one month is more effective. So, you don't need to feel pressured about the interval. However, for keloid burn scars, sticking to a one-month interval is more effective.

Cautions

Pre & post-care

Essential pre/post-care to maximize results and prevent side effects.

Managing post-treatment swelling, redness, and scabsTemporary swelling, redness, bruising, and scabs are part of the normal healing process after treatment. Apply regeneration cream well, and do not pick at scabs; let them fall off naturally.
Contact the clinic if blisters appear after V-beam treatmentIf blisters form after your V-beam laser treatment, do not pop them. Please contact the clinic immediately and come in for a check-up.
Laser marks and pigmentation will heal naturallyRedness, tip marks, or pigmentation may remain after laser treatments like StarLux or UltraPulse. This will gradually recover over 6 months to a year after the treatment course is completed, so there is no need to worry.
Temporary skin changes after injections will improve over timeRarely, side effects like skin discoloration, indentation, or menstrual irregularities may occur after a Triamcinolone injection, but these typically resolve on their own over time.
Consistently use regeneration cream after treatmentConsistently applying regeneration cream after treatment creates a favorable environment for scar healing, which can enhance the treatment's effectiveness.
Refrain from strenuous exercise for 1 week after treatmentLight exercise is possible immediately after the treatment, but please avoid strenuous, sweat-inducing exercise for one week to prevent inflammation.
